But the superpower <em>*has*<\/em> to be lame. Otherwise, everyone would be an immortal all-knowing speedster or something.<br><br>Let's just dream for a bit.<br><br>Here's what I'd have: the ability to create clandestine clones. They'd look like regular different people with regular different birth certificates and whatnot, but their minds would work exactly like mine. It's already pretty lame (that's the point), but if someone still thinks that's OP, I don't mind if the cloning process takes long and the fake documents have to be bought. Perhaps it would make it even more interesting.<br><br>There's so little a regular nobody like me can do, but there's so much a thousand of such people can, given their minds align.<br><br>There'd be so many fun and impactful projects we could undertake. Devise an extremely elaborate, rich, and coherent fictional universe. Clean an entire city. Cover an entire city in cryptic messages. Read an entire library and come up with a way to systemize what's most useful. Design a constructed language. Erect a neighborhood. Draw a map of our collective dreamlands. Vibecode a video game with a massive world to explore. Run a company. Spread the word of a new religion and convert people to it. Populate a protest. (A thousand of highly motivated individuals is enough to influence a government far more drastically, but I am not motivated for that at all, so realistically some cultural work and a protest would prolly be my limit.)<br><br>It doesn't matter much <em>*what*<\/em> we would do. I just envision the joy of that frictionless cooperation and collaboration, the efficiency, the compounding power of the division of labor. Of course, I realize there'd be many things we won't be able to do, too: some things will be out of reach of my cognitive abilities, others will be limited by my reluctance to take on certain work. It would be interesting to test those limits, to see what fraction of people must be brought from the outside to achieve this or that.<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My favorite supe is Hulk.
